Jini & Vini Into the Webiverse

Trust & privacy

Learn online-safety habits without creating an online profile.

Jini & Vini Into the Webiverse is intentionally low-data. Children can read, explore, and practise without creating an account or giving the site identifying details.

Simple by design

Learn without creating a profile.

The experience keeps local learning data limited and makes external links clear.

In this browser

What stays in the browser

Current answers stay in the open page. The browser remembers a small amount of non-identifying information so recently shown cards and scenario sets are less likely to repeat. If you choose the optional High Five, it also remembers that choice for one day so the same browser is not counted repeatedly, while only the aggregate High Five total is updated. This does not include your name, email address, answer history or score.

Narration

Only the lesson, not your details

The guided tour reads fixed feature descriptions, not anything you type. English and Hindi safety narration is written for young learners; Hindi is an adaptation, not a certified translation. Narration does not use the microphone. Captions and touch controls remain available.

Voice & conversation

Speaking is optional

The optional English Talk ring lets visitors ask safety questions and navigate the site by voice; younger visitors should ask a trusted adult first. Your browser may request microphone permission, and its speech provider may process what you say. Misheard words can be corrected in a temporary text field before they are used. The ring has no audio recording or upload feature; any microphone activity used to animate it is processed locally and discarded.

English Talk starts only when you press the ring and accept the initial speech notice. Listening pauses while the guide answers. An automated language service may process your question, recent in-page messages, limited page context to provide cyber-safety guidance. It does not require an exact age, and common secret-like values are redacted. History stays in the current page, and the microphone is never left continuously open. The guide never chooses game answers; you decide whether to follow suggested links.

Designed out

What the guide does not do

The site does not ask children to create public profiles, message strangers, upload photos, share live location, provide identity information or connect social accounts. It does not scan the device.

External links

Choose when to leave Webiverse

Links to external services and official guidance are optional. Those sites have their own privacy practices. The guide does not send your conversation to a linked site or open suggested routes without your choice.

India data protection

Privacy is built around data minimisation.

The Webiverse does not require children to create a profile or provide identifying information to learn. These privacy practices take account of applicable Indian requirements, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the notified Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. The Rules have phased commencement dates, so this page does not imply that every provision is already in force or provide a legal-compliance certification.
